Yoga talks about Universal Prana which pervades the whole Creation. Modern scientists have discovered the same presence of electromagnetic energy. Many investigations have shown that atmosphere is charged with electromagnetic energy which is important to the preservation of life.
Yoga states that Prana is present in the living things. Science also states that electrical properties are present in living things.
Prana is also described as magnetic as it has positive & negative aspects.
The positive & negative energy currents flow through our body and now science has proved their existence and which are influenced by the ions & electromagnetic field in the atmosphere
Our Earth appears to be gigantic magnet due to electromagnetic energy surrounding it. North pole being positive and the South Pole being negative . In yoga Body is considered as a living magnet. Energy currents circulated in the region of the Spinal column, top of the Spine as positive pole & the base of Spine as negative pole. This magnetic field creates a constant flow of currents between the two poles in order to balance the Energy circuits.
The outside influences of Energy & Prana affects our internal functions.
By practicing Atma Kriya Yoga you are able to make your internal functions work harmoniously irrespective of your outside influences.
Science is beginning to look Human organism in the light of living energy transmitter. The brain & central nervous system are transmitter & receptors of these electromagnetic waves receiving external information & sending internal information back into the cosmos.
For eg. the heart beat sends out a wave of 1-3 cycles per second. There is a constant transfer of subtle energy between you & cosmos. Hence it is so imperative to maintain equilibrium in your outer & inner environment. Kriya Yoga helps to maintain this balance.
